Freeze Top Gale to Even Record

The Minnesota Freeze knocked off the Chicago Gale, 3-1, at Twin City Stadium. Sallvador Tibau was a big reason Minnesota won. The right fielder hit 2 home runs. Minnesota reliever Harry Teeters picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Baker was saddled with the loss. Jake Abadie was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 19 save opportunities.
Jesse Crochet, the Minnesota center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 2-1, Freeze. For the game, Crochet was 1-3.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Minnesota manager Michael Gordy.
The win puts Minnesota at 30-30 this season.
