Twins Deal Astros 4-2 Defeat
|
Chris Carson had an impact in the 4-2 Minnesota win over Houston. The 26-year old designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Pat Snapp earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Joseph Yabbour was credited with the save for Minnesota, his 6th of the season.
Early in the game, Carson had a run-scoring triple for Minnesota. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Twins on top, 1-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Carson told the Minnesota Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
Their 20-26 record puts the Twins third in the National League Central Division.
