Rays Take Tight Tilt
|
Tampa Bay Rays starter Josh Ballinger turned in a top-notch performance against the Miami Marlins at Tropicana Field. The result was a win for the Rays, 2-1. The save went to Taj Bradley, his 24th this season. With the win, Tampa Bay has a record of 45-51. Miami falls to 51-44.
Making an impact for the home team was Caleb Otero. In the bottom of the second, the two-time Golden Glove Award winner had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Rays.
"Josh just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Tampa Bay manager .
