White Sox Stumble, Lose to Rangers

The Texas Rangers powered past the Chicago White Sox, 8-4, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Tony Salgado was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times, to lead the charge. Corbin Martin picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-8. He struck out 3 in 5.1 innings. Pierce Johnson earned the save, his 3rd.
In the top of the fourth, with Texas leading 1-0, second baseman Zack Short hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Josh Hoitt and put the Rangers ahead, 3-0.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Short.
The win gives the Rangers a record of 45-95.
