Astros Sneak By Mets, 6-5
Houston beat New York at Minute Maid Park, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Austin Leonard. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Robbie Henry earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. The loss makes New York 28-26.

Chris Kendall electrified the crowd in the bottom of the ninth when he took New York pitcher Mike Hayes deep. His solo home run sent the Astros home winners.

"I'm proud to wear a Houston jersey," Kendall told the Houston News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
