Tempe Twin Peaks starter Herb Pennock turned in an exceptional performance against the St. Paul Llamas at The Stage, resulting in a Tempe win, 3-2. The second-place Twin Peaks improved to 74-76.

Red Wilson was the walk-off hero for Tempe. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twin Peaks catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd went wild," Pennock said.
