Swans Heading to College Cup
|
Blake Lari put the Rochester College Swans on his shoulders as they downed the Anchorage College Caribous in the College League Championship Series.
Rochester College won the deciding game by a 9-1 count at Swans Ballpark and wrapped up the series 4-1.
Lari played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .381 batting average with a .458 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 11 RBI and 5 runs scored.
"I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said.
The Rochester College Swans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Laval College Rockies - Oklahoma City College Wardogs series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The College Cup schedule will be announced after the College League Championship Series finishes.
