Nance Grabs NC Reliever of the Year Award
Friday, May 31st , 2069
At the age of 19, Zach Nance says he still has a lot to learn about life in College League.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Madison College Sundevils reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2069 National Conference Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Sardis, Georgia native said.
For the season, Nance had 11 saves in 27 relief appearances, which totaled 37. He fanned 54 betters, while walking 12 and put up a record of 3-2 to go with his 2.92 ERA.
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Joe Cash of the Angola on the Lake College Skywarriors finished second in voting, while Bill Irvine of the Gatineau College Golden Spikes finished third.
