Mets Walk It Off for 61st Win of Season
|
The New York Mets picked up a win at Shea Stadium, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-4. Starting pitcher Bryan Barnes was a big reason why. With the victory, the Mets upped their record to 61-46.
The Mets procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Yoenis Cespedes. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Cespedes said.
