Rangers Absorb 6-3 Loss at County Stadium
|
Milwaukee rode a decent outing from starter Sonny Gray to victory over the Texas Rangers. The final score was 6-3. Anthony Varvaro earned his 27th save in 29 chances. With this game in the books, Milwaukee is 54-64, Texas 78-39.
Pedro Alvarez dealt the Rangers a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Milwaukee leading 1-0, Alvarez, the 24th overall pick in the 2007 draft, hit a first pitch slider for a 2-run single.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Gray told the Milwaukee News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
