Another day, another victory for the red-hot Chicago White Sox.

The Chicago White Sox had to overcome a fine effort from Boston pitcher Dick Wantz to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Comiskey Park. Wantz went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Chicago has won 8 consecutive games.

Chicago took a 5-4 lead on Vada Pinson's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Boston pitcher Dick Hall in the bottom of the eighth.
