Koufax Finds Groove in 2-1 Triumph
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.
The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a win at Dodger Stadium, knocking off the Chicago Cubs, 2-1. Starting pitcher Sandy Koufax played a key role in the triumph. The victory makes Los Angeles 4-2.
Chicago could barely put a dent in Koufax. The left-hander tossed 136 pitches over 9 innings for the Dodgers, allowing only 5 hits.
"I'll be honest," said Koufax. "I was running on fumes at the end."
