Houston Hands Los Angeles 4-1 Defeat
|
Pitcher Noah Lowry was sensational for the Houston Astros in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Los Angeles Angels. Lowry picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Houston reliever Noah Lowry got the win, raising his record to 8-10. Fred Newman was tagged with the loss. Houston currently is in third place in the American League West at 77-82.
Sam Crawford, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Crawford contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Houston up, 1-0.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Lowry said.
