Southpaw Pitches Yankees to 2-1 Win
|
Pedro Reinoso never let the Tigers get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his knuckle curve, to pitch the Yankees to a win, 2-1. Henderson Horton was credited with the save for New York, his 12th of the season. The last-place Tigers have dropped 5 straight games.
Reinoso gave New York a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7 innings.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said New York manager Bill Wiebers.
