Rangers Dominate, Sweep Division Series
The Texas Rangers have swept the Minnesota Twins and are on to the League Championship Series. Texas won 4-3 today at Hubert H Humphrey Dome to clinch the Division Series.

"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Texas catcher Joe Mauer, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."

Mauer won the award with a .455 batting average and a .455 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Texas Rangers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Tampa Bay Rays - Oakland Athletics series. Oakland leads the series 2 games to 0. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 13th , 2014.
