Zero Hour: Ray Blanks Bees
Tuesday, July 5th , 1966
"That was one of my best outings," said Jim Ray. "I was worried a lot in the bullpen. My ball wasn't quite right. Luckily, it can be two different worlds -- the bullpen and the game. Once I stepped on the field, it all fell into place."

It was an impressive start for the Beavers hurler. He blanked the Bees 1-0 on a strong 3-hitter while ringing up 13 strikeouts and doling out 2 walks.

Checking out his stats for the season, Ray has notched 8 wins and 5 losses in 17 starts. His ERA is 2.99 and he's struck out 146 batters in 135.2 innings.
