Umbach Brilliant, Fans 15 Friday, June 10th , 1966 Arnold Umbach really had Tampa batters swinging and missing today at West Palm Beach Municipal Stadium. Umbach sat down 15 hitters on strikes and whipped the Tarpons 9-3. He allowed 9 hits and gave up 1 walk in a standout mound performance. Thus far this season, Umbach has worked 88.2 innings with 100 strikeouts en route to a 5-4 record and a 6.09 ERA. |
