Cole Spins 6-0 Shutout Sunday, June 12th , 1966 Shelby Rebels starter Chuck Cole really did a number on the Rock Hill Cardinals today, shutting them out 6-0 on 4 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 10 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Rock Hill manager . "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Cole." So far this season Cole has compiled a 5-2 record with a 1.78 ERA. |
