Lynchburg Shuts Out Charlotte Behind Arnold, 3-0 Thursday, July 7th , 1966 Ron Arnold of the Lynchburg White Sox was lights-out in a 2-hit blanking of the Charlotte Hornets. "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go," he told BNN reporters after the contest. Arnold registered 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in shutting out Charlotte, 3-0.
