Athletics Get Past San Francisco for 6-5 Win
|
Erik R. Ladd had a good game, but he could not keep the San Francisco Giants from falling, 6-5, to the Oakland Athletics at O.co Coliseum. The San Francisco catcher was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once in the loss. With the win, the Athletics have a record of 22-12.
The most significant at-bat for Oakland came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the ninth. Athletics catcher T.J. Chmil hit a run-scoring double to win the game.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Chmil told the Oakland Chronicle.
