Bustamante Hits Two Homers in 3-2 Win for Kansas City
|
In a tight contest at Busch Stadium, the Kansas City Royals edged the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 3-2. Kansas City right fielder Mike Bustamante, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. Picking up the save was Amari LaSane, his 16th. With the win, Kansas City pushed its record to 22-14.
Kansas City took a 3-2 lead on Bustamante's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Filiberto DaVinci in the top of the eighth, propelled Kansas City to the win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Bustamante said, "and we're having fun right now."
