Spiders Come Up Short at Florida, 4-3
|
Florida Marlins starter Juan Albarran was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Cleveland Spiders, 4-3. Albarran picked up the win for Florida, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. Cleveland's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Jeremy MacFadden drove in one run for Florida. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Juan Negrete. It was his 30th RBI of the season.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," MacFadden said.
