Guardians Snag 5-3 Win
|
The Milwaukee Brewers got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremy Allen. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Cleveland. The Guardians won the game, 5-3. Allen threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The Guardians now have a record of 36-41.
The outcome might have been different for Cleveland, had it not been for Bobby DeShield, the 26-year old first baseman . DeShield stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Cleveland up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
DeShield attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
