Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Rangers
|
The Texas Rangers overcame a good performance by Arizona designated hitter Bobby Burt to knock off Arizona, 6-3, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Burt went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Earning the save was Amari Ndiaye. He's now cashed in 45 of 49 save opportunities. With the win, Texas pushed its record to 75-51.
Jeff Spaulding hit a run-scoring double off Nate Kraus in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Rangers in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Spaulding had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Spaulding told the Texas Observer. "Whatever it takes."
