Phillies Roll Past Dodgers, 7-0
|
Behind an impressive start by Amare Honora, Philadelphia beat Los Angeles, 7-0. The setback makes Los Angeles 76-58.
Bob Fairbanks was 1-3 with a double and a walk for Philadelphia. The 28-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Harry Huggins. It was his 19th walk of the season.
Said losing manager Vinnie Wicker: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
