Toronto Defeats Seattle, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring game between Toronto and Seattle, pitcher Bubba Doughty was excellent. The Toronto right-hander helped his team knock off the Mariners, 3-1. Sergio Carbajal collected his 26th save. The loss makes Seattle 82-53.
Rodolfo Ballesteros was a prime factor in the win for the Blue Jays. In the top of the seventh with two out, the 29-year old first baseman hit a run-scoring single. He went 1-5.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Toronto manager Mark Wendling.
