White Sox Drop Royals, 3-2
|
Chicago White Sox starter Kennan Crousse turned in a sterling performance against the Kansas City Royals, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Chicago reliever Erik Ramos was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Amari LaSane. Picking up the save was Jaquan Thoams, his 3rd.
Arturo Chaparro, the 29-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Chaparro contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Chicago up, 3-2.
Kansas City manager Cary Rosen said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The Royals drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 2048 season.
