Ocampo Helps Milwaukee Cruise to 10-2 Win
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old shortstop Sergio Ocampo, the Milwaukee Brewers stopped the Toronto Blue Jays, 10-2, in 9 innings. Danny Carter got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 7 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The Brewers, now 7-3, have been playing some good baseball.
Luis Soto, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Brewers organization, chipped in a grand slam home run for Milwaukee in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"We put the pedal to the metal," said Soto.
