Oca, Reds Beat Mariners, 11-4
|
Benefiting from AntoÕio Oca's productive game, the Cincinnati Reds downed the Seattle Mariners, 11-4. Oca was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Reds. Cincinnati, now 11-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Jon Mendosa, the fan favorite , had a direct impact on the outcome. Mendosa contributed a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth inning to put Cincinnati up, 7-3.
"We came out aggressive," said Reds manager Kyle Groulx. "We came out swinging the bats."
