League Suspends Pittsburgh's Hershman Saturday, May 11th , 2047 The league office has notified the Pittsburgh Pirates that Steve Hershman will receive a 3-game suspension for his flagrant conduct in yesterday's game with Chicago at U.S. Cellular Field. Hershman aggressively and physically protested a third-strike call and had to be restrained by several teammates after being ejected. Hershman is hitting .210 this year with 9 home runs, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 143 at-bats, 18 walks and a .305 on-base percentage. Hershman has played in 38 games. |
