Bottomley Belts Bunch of Base Hits

5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today, Jim Bottomley of the Buffalo Bisons had a sensational game against Iowa at Armageddon Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 5-4 shellacking of the Cubs.
In the postgame press conference, he joked that he was going to take the rest of the week off.
"I did all my hitting in one day -- what else do they want from me?" he said with a laugh.
Jim Bottomley singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bob Porterfield in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 8th, grounded out in the 9th and singled in the 12th.
This season, Bottomley is swinging the bat at a .442 rate with 103 hits in 233 at-bats. To date he has hit 14 home runs, scored 59 runs and driven in 67.
