Red Wings Win Round 2
|
The Round 3 hopes remain strong for the Rochester Red Wings.
The team tonight eliminated the Columbus Clippers with a 3-1 win, to capture the Round 2 4-1.
"We're rolling now," said Chick Galloway, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the Round 3."
The standout offensive performance from Galloway included a .438 batting average, .438 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored.
The Rochester Red Wings will play against the Scranton WB RailRiders in the next round. Scranton WB won their series against the Albuquerque Isotopes 4 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
