San Francisco Gets 6-5 Win
|
The San Francisco Giants weathered an outstanding game by Washington catcher Tres Barrera to topple the Nationals, 6-5. Barrera was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times. Melvin Adon was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 17 save opportunities. San Francisco has won 6 consecutive games.
San Francisco relied on the hitting of Jaylin Davis to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Giants on top, 4-1. For the game, Davis had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Davis.
