Reds Earn 4-3 Win Versus Nationals
|
The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Great American Ball Park, knocking off the Washington Nationals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Tony Santillan was a big reason why. Cincinnati has now won 4 straight, while the Nationals have lost 9 in a row.
Cincinnati won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Ben Braymer on the mound for Washington, left fielder TJ Friedl hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Reds fans to their feet.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Santillan said in his postgame press conference.
