Mariners Win, 9-6, at Boston
|
The Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox completed their game despite the rain.
Despite a great performance by Boston left fielder Marcus Wilson, the Seattle Mariners defeated the Red Sox by the score of 9-6 at Fenway Park. Wilson was 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit 2 times. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. With the victory, the Mariners upped their record to 61-26.
Noelvi Marte, the 18-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Marte contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"We've got a great group of guys," Marte said, "and we're having fun right now."
