Rockies Lose to Brewers, 4-1
|
The Milwaukee Brewers went home winners at Miller Park, thanks in large part to starter Drew Rasmussen. Rasmussen stifled the Colorado Rockies, enabling Milwaukee to grab the 4-1 win. The winning pitcher was Rasmussen, now 7-6. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 8. Milwaukee is now 41-51.
Milwaukee left fielder Tristen Lutz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball into left-center field for a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 3-0.
Rasmussen attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
