Red Sox Drop Twins, 9-6
|
The Boston Red Sox beat the Minnesota Twins, 9-6, at Target Field. The win was due in part to second baseman C.J. Chatham, who was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Tanner Houck, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. The loss has the Twins at 13-14.
In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Minnesota allowed the Red Sox to go up, 6-5, on a Minnesota error.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Chatham.
