Kendall Hits 2 home runs in Dodgers Win
|
In the 8-1 Los Angeles win over Philadelphia, the impact of Jeren Kendall was substantial. Kendall, who is tied for 6th in the NL in runs scored with 34, hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Dustin May was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts. The National League West Division-leading Dodgers are 29-17.
With Los Angeles leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Kendall hit a changeup from Enyel De Los Santos for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 3-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Baseball America said.
