Seattle designated hitter Jarred Kelenic had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Washington at Nationals Park. Kelenic went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Washington reliever Ben Braymer picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Brandon Williamson shouldered the loss. Washington is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Washington left fielder Nick Banks delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.
