Dodgers Take Down Rockies, 9-8
|
No one was more impactful than Keibert Ruiz in the 9-8 Los Angeles win over Colorado. Ruiz, who is rated as the 77th best prospect by BNN, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Los Angeles reliever Jimmy Lewis, now 2-0. The loser was Ashton Goudeau. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Dodgers.
Ruiz had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Ashton Goudeau, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Dodgers a 9-8 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Ruiz.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Ruiz, "but we got it done."
