Dodgers Handed 6-3 Loss by New York
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets get after it.
The New York Mets topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-3, in National League action at Citi Field. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and Denver, Colorado, native David Peterson. Peterson got the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 5 over 6.1 innings. Peterson allowed 2 runs.
The Mets got a big at-bat from center fielder Quinn Brodey. For the game, Brodey went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave New York a 4-2 lead.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Peterson.
