Rockies Win at San Francisco, 4-0
|
The Colorado Rockies stymied the San Francisco Giants, 4-0, at Oracle Park. Colton Welker had a good day at the plate. He went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Colorado. Colorado pitcher Jacob Wallace got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Seth Corry got the loss. With the win, Colorado pushed its record to 29-29.
Early in the game, Welker had a 2-run double for Colorado. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Rockies on top, 2-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Colorado manager Baseball America.
