|
Washington rode a good effort from starter Jackson Rutledge to beat the New York Mets at Nationals Park. The final score was 3-0. Rutledge picked up the win for Washington, going 7.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. The 4th-place Nationals lifted their record to 31-32.
Washington took a 3-0 lead on Jake Noll's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off New York pitcher Jose Butto in the bottom of the seventh.
