Win Lifts Astros to 25-15
|
The New York Yankees and Houston Astros riveted fans at Minute Maid Park.
Randy Keef was instrumental in his team's 6-3 triumph over the New York Yankees. The center fielder went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Houston Astros. The winning pitcher was Dacio Lara. He's now 2-3. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Astros. Rodolfo Forrester finished to wrap up his 15th save.
Keef contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Houston in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Keef took a fastball from Tim Laham and stroked the home run to right. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Astros to leap in front, 3-1.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Keef.
Houston now has a 4-game win streak.
