Expos Stymie Milwaukee, Take 3-0 Win
|
Montreal picked up a win at Nationals Park, bumping off the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-0. Pitcher Chad Schmiedeskamp was a major reason the Expos emerged victorious. Juan Mesa picked up the save, his 15th. Montreal is 44-48 and Milwaukee, with the loss, 38-53.
The Expos got a big at-bat from third baseman Amari Rahmaan. For the game, Rahmaan went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Montreal a 3-0 lead.
Rahmaan told a Montreal News reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
