RailRiders Prevail, 1-0, in 12 Innings
|
The Scranton WB RailRiders relied on a great performance from 38-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Betancourt to beat the Rochester Red Wings, 1-0, in 12 innings at PNC Field. Scranton WB reliever Sean Crossman picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Mike Conley absorbed the loss. The win boosts the RailRiders to 67-47. The loss puts the Red Wings at 44-70.
Dan Thompson delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th to win it for the RailRiders. For the game, Thompson went 1-5.
"This place was rocking at the end," Betancourt said.
