The Norfolk Tides beat the Toledo Mud Hens, 4-2. Norfolk pitcher and Overland Park, Kansas, native Josh Plimpton led the way. Luis de los Santos picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Eric Karhu was tagged with the loss. Josh Hendricks picked up the save, his 7th.

Kymani Hyppolite was 1-2 with a double and a walk for Norfolk. The 29-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Juan Correa. It was his 8th RBI of the season.

"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Josh Vitters.

Norfolk, with the win, is 17-5.
