Rochester Red Wings starter Alfredo Torrealba pitched a strong game against the Syracuse Mets at Frontier Field, leading the Red Wings to victory, 6-5. The loss drops Syracuse to 13-14.

Joe Joseph came through for Rochester when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike slider to right-center field, staking his team to a 3-2 lead.

"If we keep winning the close games," Joseph said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
