Jim Parris had a strong outing for the Portland Sea Dogs against the Trenton Thunder at Hadlock Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Gilberto Montero got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances. The win puts Portland at 50-84.

Though he did not get the decision, Parris did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 7.1 innings, until Portland eventually rallied past the Thunder.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Parris after the game.
