Hillcats Deal Nationals Painful Loss
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Potomac Nationals got a superb performance from pitcher Jeff Christian. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Lynchburg. The Hillcats won the game, 3-2. Christian threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball. Luis Ortega got credit for the win, improving to 7-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Lynchburg pinch hitter Juan Morales, facing Sean Kohler, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hillcats the 3-2 win.

"Put a star next to this win," Morales said.

Lynchburg, now 57-71, holds down 4th place in the Northern Division.
